Bringing you the days top headlines

Courtney Ketchen is the Co-Host and News Anchor for Breakfast Television. After years of nomadic journalism in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Ontario, Courtney moved back home in April 2011 to be a part of Winnipeg’s most engaging morning show.

From the time the alarm goes off at 2:15am to when the show wraps at 9am, there is never a dull moment at City. Surrounded by some of the quirkiest, clever, and entertaining co-workers in the city, Courtney starts and ends her day with a smile. In addition to bringing you the day’s top headlines, Courtney can be seen hosting a variety of segments on BT and engaging in (mostly) friendly banter with her Co-Host, Jeremy John.

A longtime animal lover, Courtney dedicates her free time to her two dogs, Kingston and Phoenix. You can catch Courtney and the rest of the BT crew in action 6am-9am, Monday to Friday. Oh, and don’t forget your sense of humour, you’ll need it!

Follow Drew as he explores the finest Winnipeg and surrounding area has to offer!

Drew grew up in Riverton, Manitoba, where as a kid, he had a variety of jobs from rock picker, to horse trainer, to fiddle teacher. Upon realizing few people make a career out of either of these professions, he moved to the city and pursued a degree in communications.

After graduating, Drew started his career working for radio at stations in Manitoba and Saskatchewan but eventually returned to Winnipeg because “Rider Green” did not compliment his Blue and Gold wardrobe.  Once back home in Winnipeg Drew ventured into marketing and television production, co-creating a web-based music series. But, because of his rural roots (so he says) Drew was convinced that he was just not waking up early enough in the morning, so he signed on with Citytv Winnipeg’s Breakfast Television as Remote Host. Now, Drew searches out and introduces BT viewers to interesting and unique people, places, things and events happening  in our community.

Outside of work, Drew keeps busy playing fiddle, guitar and singing in a variety of bands with genres spanning country, pop-punk and polka. He likes heading out to Riverton to visit his horse, Blue, and in the summer he will often be found hosting a tournament of either ladder ball or croquet in his backyard while cooking on the BBQ. Currently, Drew is trying to get his first novel published; a scary kid’s book about a killer photo album, but apparently frightening small children is not something most publishers like to do.
